Pierce is an award-winning writer, director, librettist and dramaturg, currently studying for an MPhil in Creative Writing at the University of Queensland.

Pierce has presented at conferences across Australasia, and currently is Research Assistant for Dr. Helen Marshall, acting as part of a group of academics at the University of Queensland working to translate skills drawn from SFF to help different industries, from medicine to defence, solve global problems such as climate change and the rise of AI. He was recently published in Jacaranda Magazine.
