Pierce is an award-winning director, librettist and dramaturg, with a qualification from NIDA.

Pierce is currently undertaking an MPhil in Creative Writing at the University of Queensland and was recently published in Jacaranda Journal. earth.voice.body, containing The Shape of the Earth, co-written with Jack Symonds, is currently showing at Carriageworks in Sydney.
